Working with the Playing For Change Foundation means aligning my music with something deeper than performance—it’s about purpose. I believe music is a universal language that can heal, uplift, and connect people across every border, and this foundation lives that truth every day by bringing education, instruments, and opportunity to communities that might otherwise be unheard. For me, it’s not just about creating songs—it’s about creating impact, giving back, and being part of a movement that reminds the world that rhythm, soul, and humanity are all intertwined. Through this work, I’m not only sharing my voice—I’m helping amplify voices everywhere.
Working with the Playing For Change Foundation is deeply personal to me, rooted in where I come from. Growing up in Chicago, I saw firsthand how music can be both an escape and a lifeline—something that keeps you grounded while also giving you a way out, a way forward. Not every kid has access to instruments, mentorship, or creative outlets, but I know how powerful it is when they do. That’s why this work matters to me beyond the stage.
Through this foundation, I’m not just giving back—I’m honoring where I come from and helping open doors for the next generation to find their voice, their purpose, and their own rhythm in the world.
